![]() However, there just doesn’t seem like there are any equivalents to classes like cavalry or tank hunter or trench raider in bf5 that set someone apart from the standard soldiers. Your point about the cavalry class is pretty opinionated so I'll leave that, but your point about special classes. Point number 2 is too vague because it doesn't make sense - maps more realistic?īf5 just seems like it’s trying way too hard to make the battlefield as extreme as possible, whereas bf1 is a realistic and fun experience with a healthy mix of cities and open territory. In BF1, my squad just goes towards random points, never does any of my orders as a squad lead, and just stays silent whenever I try and talk to them - in BFV, at least people have an inventive ![]() That doesn't mean anything about team gameplay - you know what actually means team gameplay? Actual teamplay, which is what BFV has and BF1 doesn't. Again, I haven’t played all bf games so I don’t know if there’s a consistent theme they try to capture or if it’s different in each game, but when I play bf1 I feel like I’m actually part of an army. ![]() Team gameplay in bf1 feels much more unified than bf5. I don't get it, why do you guys always post stuff about how BFV is bad and BF1 is better? I think we can all agree there.Ĭlosing statement: there are parts of bf5 I genuinely enjoy, such as the slightly more realistic revive system that keeps squads unified, the fortifications, and the great graphics and audio, but I wish EA had made these additions to a ww2 era battlefield with the same mechanics that made bf1 so fun for me. This also applies to behemoth vehicles.Ĥ) single player stories were far superior in bf1. This goes back to how bf5 tries to make everyone a super soldier and nobody a real ww2 enlisted fighter. In terms of weather and graphics, bf5 just seems like it’s trying way too hard to make the battlefield as extreme as possible, whereas bf1 is a realistic and fun experience with a healthy mix of cities and open territory.ģ) this is pretty specific but I absolutely love the cavalry class of bf1, and I know that it wouldn’t be era appropriate for bf5 (although that didn’t stop them with races and genders, but I won’t get into that). It’s hard to explain, but the maps of bf1 seem more realistic, without all the obvious choke points and structure that bf5 creates. maybe I’m looking too much into this but that’s just my perception.Ģ) bf1 maps feel more dynamic without trying too hard. In bf5, the customization and maps just feel more like everyone is being a bit too “individual” and it just feels more like everyone is some sort of war hero with an officer’s uniform etc. Five man squads also help with this just because squad spawning keeps more people close together. Everyone is wearing the same uniforms, and we all rush the objectives together. However, I really enjoyed bf1 and played a lot, but was extremely disappointed by bf5 for the following reasons, and I essentially just wanted to see if people agree or disagree.ġ)Team gameplay in bf1 feels much more unified than bf5. Hey all, I started playing battlefield with the release of battlefield 1, so I know I don’t have the same experience as some of you in battlefield games as a series.
